UpROAR was founded in 1999 and recorded Lewisham's millennium song 'Father Time, Mother Earth' written by the group. Since then we have recorded a further 7 albums which include 'The Very Idea', That's Right!', 'Getting in the Christmas Spirit', 'Moonlight and Snowflakes', 'Promises' and our latest Album 'Every Snowflake is Unique'. All of these have been received very well. We have appeared on radio, TV and many festivals and concerts such as Lewisham People's Day, Sheffield Arena and the O2 Arena.

The band consists of adults with learning disabilities and staff at Naborhood Day Centre in Sydenham, who write and record original songs. We fundraise for the group and for other activities associated with the Centre.

We have been included on various compilation cds including the award winning 'Heavy Load's Wild Things 2' and 'Dare to Dream' winner fo the Lewisham Pride award.

The aim of UpROAR is to encourage musical and lyrical expression and to experience what it is to write, perform and record whilst raising a positive profile of adults with learning disabilities and what can be achieved.
